Early this morning, the Polish Super Cup final started. The Polish champions Warsaw Legia played at home against Polish Cup champion Krakowia. The two sides fought 0-0 in the regular time, and Krakowia won 5-4 in the penalty shootout. Frosovic lost a point.
After the penalty shootout lost to Krakowia, Warsaw Legia continued the curse of invincibility in the Super Bowl. They have lost seven consecutive finals. The last time Warsaw won a Super Bowl was 12 years ago.
Before the Super Cup, Warsaw fans played a giant tifo requesting the resignation of the club’s chairman and owner Dariusz Mioduski. The fans could not accept the fact that the team failed to qualify for the European Championship for years.
On the same day of the game, the Polish U21 led by Warsaw coach Mihnevic still lost 0-1 to Serbia U21 in the away game. He chose to start the finals for Warsaw and swallowed the bitter fruit of "losing two games in a row" for one day.
